This slider shows the general retirement age and determines when a member commences disbursement of state pension, PD schemes and schemes from alternative companies. The calculation assumes that the member has the same FDC status until retirement age as at the time of calculation.
When you open the simulator, the slider is automatically set at the member's individual retirement age unless the member is older than the retirement age, cf. knowledge portal (potentially insert a link to the knowledge portal). If you move the slider, the time of disbursement changes for all the PD schemes, all schemes from alternative companies and any state pension.
The member can commence the various types of pension in the PD schemes at times that deviate from the general retirement age. This can be simulated under the menu tab "Information for current calculation".
Until one year before the state pension age, members who have turned 55 years can simulate taking early retirement.
If the box is marked, it means that we expect you to take early retirement at the individual early retirement age reached, cf. knowledge portal (link to knowledge portal). When the box is marked, we assume the contributions to PD schemes will lapse when the member reaches early retirement age.
If the member has reached early retirement age, we expect the member to take early retirement on reaching his/her next birthday. So if the member is 63 years and 6 months, we expect him/her to take early retirement at the age of 64.
If a member wishes to contribute extra, it is possible to choose between a monthly amount or a lump sum. In both cases, the amount is allocated to a retirement account first. When the maximum has been contributed to the retirement account, the contribution is allocated to the annuity pension and then to the lifetime pension.
With this slider, members can change the period during which the PD annuity pension should be disbursed. The period must be between 10 and 20 years.
The slider is set at 10 years when you open the simulator. My moving the pointer along the slider, members can distribute the disbursements from the annuity pension over more years.
However, an annuity pension must be disbursed by 25 years after the earliest retirement age at the latest, cf. knowledge portal (link to knowledge portal).
Using this slider, members can change the proportion of the PD annuity pension that should be transferred to the lifetime pension.
When you open the simulator, the slider is automatically set at 0%.
By moving the pointer, members can choose to transfer all or part of their annuity pension to their lifetime pension.
NB: Transferring funds to the lifetime pension has an impact on the disbursement in the event of death, see the knowledge portal.
When opening the simulator, you can see an overview of the expected disbursements from the year when a member turns 60 and 40 years ahead. Hold the cursor over the individual columns and you see the annual expected disbursement for your particular type of pension.
The list on the right of the graph describes the types of pensions included in the graph. If the disbursement is not visible on the graph, it could be because the annual disbursement is too small in relation to the disbursements from the other benefits. If you choose one year and are shown the details, you can see the size of the benefits.
Members who have not downloaded information from the PensionsInfo report can see an overview that includes only PD schemes. If the member has downloaded the PensionsInfo report, the graph will also show information on the schemes in alternative companies, state pension and supplementary pension benefit (ældrecheck), if applicable.
When you open the simulator, all the amounts shown in the graph are before tax.
When you have accessed the information from PensionsInfo, you can choose to view the disbursements after tax.
Disbursements after tax are calculated based on the member's current tax municipality (this can be obtained from F2100). For members who do not live in a Danish tax municipality, tax is based on an average Danish municipality. This applies to e.g. members living in Sweden and Germany or in Greenland.
When the member has chosen to view the expected disbursements for a specific year, he/she can click to access the details.
The details contain advisor flags and the total expected disbursements per type of pension, so it is clear where the disbursements originate.
The disbursements will be distributed as:
The above applies to both the member simulator and the advisor simulator. The following applies only to the advisor simulator.
When you open the simulator, you see a new calculation that has not been saved. This is the same calculation that the member sees when he/she opens the member simulator. Click the square disk icon to save the calculation.
When the calculation has been saved, the advisor can send it to the member's e-Boks by clicking the PDF icon. When the PDF has been created, the advisor can open it.
The PDF contains
You can create and save more calculations by clicking "+". The latest calculation will appear at the top when you save it.
If the member has used the simulator, the latest calculation will also be saved. This calculation will always be at the top and you can see when it was created.
The advisor can open and view all the saved calculations by clicking the name.
All the calculations are automatically deleted after 90 days. The advisor can also delete the advisor calculations. You do this by clicking the bin icon beside the relevant calculation.
When two or more calculations have been saved, you can compare the calculations, which will be shown in the graph.
The calculation you have selected under "Calculations" is the one that is shown with different colours for the individual types of pensions.
The calculation you selected for comparison, will be shown with a line showing the total disbursement for all the pension types. If you hold the cursor over the comparison graph, you can view the amount in whole DKK 100.
When comparing two calculations, you can view the selections on which the individual calculations are based under the graph. The column on the left shows the selections for the calculation shown in colour.
When the menu tab is opened, you can view the selections on which the calculation is based.
If one or both selections are changed, this will apply to all the saved and new calculations.
The first time the simulator is opened, the default answer will always be 'yes'. If the member or advisor changes the answer, it will be saved. If the advisor simulator is subsequently opened, this is the selection that will be shown.
Whether the member is married/cohabiting has an effect on how we calculate the public benefits.
If the member has downloaded information from PensionsInfo through the simulator, the member has answered whether he/she is married.
The simulator can show public benefits only if the member has downloaded information from PensionsInfo. Just above the button, you can see when the information was downloaded.
If the answer is 'yes' to whether the PensionsInfo report is included in the calculation, the graph will also show public benefits and any schemes in alternative companies. You can also choose to view the disbursements after tax.
If you change the answer to 'no', the information from PensionsInfo will no longer be visible. However, they are saved in the database, so you can always view them again by clicking 'yes'.
We encourage members to download the PensionsInfo report, so we offer members the best possible advice regarding public benefits and schemes in alternative companies.
If information has not been downloaded from PensionsInfo, the answer will be 'no', and you cannot change it to 'yes' until the report has been downloaded.
Members can access PensionsInfo reports in three ways.
If a member accesses the PensionsInfo report during a conversation, it can be included in the calculation by refreshing the page (press the F5 key).
In some cases, however, the PensionsInfo report cannot be included, although it has been downloaded by the member. This means that you cannot view the public benefits in the calculation. If you change the answer to 'yes', you will see the reason why the PensionsInfo report cannot be included.
When the menu tab is opened, you can see the selections on which the current calculation is based.
If the advisor changes the selections, the changes apply only to the current calculation.
The answer will affect the calculation of supplementary pension benefit (ældrecheck).
For members under 55 years of age, we assume they will have assets of more than DKK 89,800. So for members under 55, the answer will always be 'yes', without the possibility to change the answer to 'no'.
For members who have turned 55 years of age, the default answer will always be 'no', but with the option of changing this to 'yes'.
Members who have turned 55 years of age, and have accessed the PensionsInfo report through the member simulator have answered whether they have assets of more than DKK 89,800.
The retirement age for all the types of pension is automatically set to follow the retirement age selected in the "Retirement age" slider. For PD schemes, however, you can select individual retirement ages for the various types of pension.
The selection has no impact on when disbursements terminate. The termination of contributions follows the selection of the general retirement age and selection of early retirement.
The slider determines when the member commences receiving his/her lifetime pension from PensionDanmark.
The start of disbursement for lifetime pensions in alternative companies follows the general retirement age.
So if you e.g. select 62 years as the retirement age for the lifetime pension, the disbursements from the lifetime pension from PensionDanmark will commence at 62 years, whereas the disbursements from the alternative companies will commence at the general retirement age (e.g. 68 years).
The slider determines when the member begins receiving his/her annuity pension from PensionDanmark.
The start of disbursement for annuity pensions in alternative companies follows the general retirement age. See example under "Lifetime pension".
The slider determines when the member begins receiving his/her retirement account from PensionDanmark.
The start of disbursement for retirement accounts in alternative companies follows the general retirement age. See example under "Lifetime pension".
