When can children get help through the Health Scheme?

As a general rule, the child must first be assessed through Quick Diagnosis before they can start a course with a psychiatrist.

The Health Scheme can help:

  • children with diagnosed ADHD or ADD
  • children who have completed a Quick Diagnosis-course
  • children where there is a need for medical start-up or adjustment.

As a parent, you are an important part of the process

You help describe your child’s behaviour and wellbeing at home, at school, and in their free time. You also help create safety for your child by following the advice and recommendations you get along the way.

As a parent, you can e.g.:

  • take part in converations and answer questions
  • support the child before, during and after treatment
  • use the advice and recommendations in your child’s everyday life.
