Why make a will?

As well as your pension savings, you may also have other assets, such as a house, a car or a private savings scheme. If you want to decide who inherits your assets when you die, you can make a will. This might be a good idea if you:

have a life partner who you want to provide for
want your estate to be distributed in a specific way
do not have any heirs and want your assets to pass to an association or organisation.
