Why You Should Create a Future Power of Attorney

An accident or illness can strike when you least expect it. That’s why it’s a good idea to have a future power of attorney.

With a future power of attorney, you give someone else permission to make decisions on your behalf if you are no longer able to do so yourself. This could include:

  • Making agreements with your bank
  • Applying for subsidies for your medication
  • Applying for home care or assisted living
